Hampden 9 Year Old Magnum Series #3

Hampden 9 Year Old Magnum Series #3 is an exceptional Jamaican rum from Hampden Estate distillery, released as part of the artistic Magnum Series collection – edition no. 3 in collaboration with the Italian company Velier and photographer Cristina de Middel. This distinctive rum is labeled LROK, distilled in 2016 and aged for 9 years in the tropical climate of Jamaica. It is bottled at an alcohol content of 60 %.

The rum is made from molasses in traditional pot still copper stills, with natural fermentation – without industrial yeasts, utilizing wild microorganisms and dunder (the remnants of previous fermentation). The aging took place for 9 years directly in the tropical warehouse of Jamaica, allowing for a pronounced development of flavor and character.

On the nose, there are notes of ripe and dried fruits – such as orange peel and mango – along with spices and oak tones. The taste is balanced, with fruity elements, honey, and subtle spices, and the finish reveals a warming impression with an oak accent and the typical ester signature of Hampden.

This dark rum represents a strong and complex expression of the Jamaican distillery Hampden – ideal for the connoisseur who appreciates intensity, details, and authenticity. Best enjoyed neat, in a tasting glass at room temperature.
