Glenmorangie Dornoch
Pronunciation: {Glen-morendží}Limited edition from the Glenmorangie distillery inspired by the Dornoch Firth fjord, on the shores of which the distillery is located. To achieve the desired evocative profile, Dr. Bill Lumsden used classic Glenmorangie aged in bourbon casks, as well as lightly peated material aged in Amontillado casks. The distillery owner, LVMH, also helps protect this fjord with every bottle sold by contributing to marine conservation.
Aroma: Noted nectarines and apples, lemon, coastal grasses, caramel, subtle spices.
Taste: Caramel develops into cane sugar and peat begins to break through. Tiramisu, star anise, hints of nutty smoke.
Finish: Malty fruity Glenmorangie with earthy peaty depth.
Overall impression: Still classic Glenmorangie, but a fitting injection of peat influence and Amontillado cask helps better evoke their beautiful home.
