Foursquare Supernum is an exceptional 21-Year-Old Single Blended Rum, created in collaboration between Richard Seal from Foursquare Rum Distillery and Luca Gargano from Velier. The rum was distilled in 2004 and has aged for a full 21 years in the tropical climate of Barbados.
The base consists of rums made from molasses fermented with selected yeasts. During distillation, Foursquare combines a copper double-retort pot still and a traditional twin-column Coffey still. The distillates from both types of equipment are blended before being placed into barrels, creating the characteristic style of Single Blended Rum for Foursquare.
Ex-bourbon barrels play a key role in the aging process. Part of the rum spent 19 years in ex-bourbon barrels and underwent an additional 2 years of maturation in barrels previously used for Pineau des Charentes. The total age of Supernum is 21 years, and the entire aging took place in tropical conditions in Barbados.
Supernum was bottled in February 2026 at cask strength of 55% alcohol. This is an extremely limited edition – only 2,800 bottles were produced.
The quality of this edition is confirmed by IWSC 2026, where Foursquare Supernum received 98 points and the Gold Outstanding award. The jury highlighted citrus, warm oak, apricot, and Demerara sugar in the aroma, followed by a complex flavor of red fruits, raisins, chocolate, leather, and dried plums.
