Foursquare Sovereignty

Foursquare Sovereignty is the latest addition from Richard Seal and his exclusive rum distillery Foursquare. It is the nineteenth (Mark XIX) rum from the Exceptional Cask Selection series. The rum was blended in 2021 and named Sovereignty, which means "sovereignty," in honor of the significant event when Barbados ceased to pledge allegiance to Queen Elizabeth II and officially became a republic.

Sovereignty is a collectible rum created from a blend of two molasses rums that were distilled using Pot and Column Stills. The first rum was aged for 3 years in ex-bourbon casks and then matured for 11 years in ex-sherry Oloroso casks. The second rum aged for a lengthy 14 years in ex-bourbon casks.

After blending, the rum was bottled at 62 % alcohol content, with no added colors, sugar, or chill filtration. Only 12,000 bottles were produced. For the best enjoyment, we recommend serving at room temperature without ice or water.
