Foursquare Détente is a 10-year-old collectible rum from Barbados created by combining the artisanal distillation method of double-retort pot and the traditional distillation method of column coffey still. The rum is also a blend of two single blended rums. The first aged for 10 years in bourbon casks, while the second was aged for 4 years in bourbon casks and an additional 6 years in port wine casks. Foursquare Détente is a single blended rum from the unique and rare rum collection Exceptional Cask Selections crafted directly by the brand owner Richard Seal. It is his personal project of creating exceptional rums that are released to the world only when he feels they have achieved extraordinary quality. These rums are one of a kind, available only for a short time in a limited number of bottles, and represent a remarkable approach to blending and aging rums.
