Unusual 12-year-old rum from the Barbados distillery Foursquare.
Foursquare 2008 Cask Strength belongs to the edition of unique and rare rums Exceptional Cask Selections , personally selected by master distiller Richard Seal. It is his personal project of creating rums that enter the world only when he feels that they have reached extraordinary quality. These rums are the only ones of their kind, available only for a short time and represent a truly remarkable approach to mixing and maturing rums.
Rum Foursquare 2008 Cask Strength Mark XIII matured for 12 years in a combination of one, two and three times filled barrels after bourbone. The tropical climate of the island accelerated the maturation process on many levels 2-3 times compared to if it matured in Europe or another temperate climate zone. The result is an authentic rum created without coloration, without added sugar, without further flavoring and without filtration. It excels in a delicious taste profile full of sweet fruit tones with a predominance of cherries combined with a sweet-earthy base.
Rum is bottled with a higher alcohol content of 60%.
Aroma and taste: fresh and dried dark berries, ripe cherries, aroma of new leather and tobacco, vanilla, caramels, dark chocolate, roasted almonds with coconut and hazelnuts
