Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin Year of the Horse is a collectible limited edition created at The Shed Distillery in the Irish town of Drumshanbo. It was made to celebrate the Chinese Lunar Year of the Horse 2026 and pays tribute to the legends of Irish horse racing. The ceramic bottle features reminders of horses such as Arkle, Red Rum, and Yeats.
The handcrafted ceramic bottle is adorned with blue, red, and gold details featuring racing motifs. This edition will only be available in 2026, giving it a distinct collectible character.
Inside is the original Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, created by PJ Rigney by combining traditional Irish and oriental botanicals.
Gin is distilled in copper pot stills, and among the botanicals used are angelica root, orris root, caraway, cardamom, coriander, Chinese lemon, kaffir lime, and the distinctive Gunpowder green tea.
The result is an aromatic and refreshing gin, where citrus and juniper intertwine with spicy and herbal notes of oriental botanicals and a subtle tea character.
