Chivas Regal Mizunara

Chivas Regal Mizunara is a blended whisky originally intended for the Japanese market. This special edition was inspired by master distiller Colin Scott's trip to Japan. Part of the whisky aged in Japanese Mizunara oak casks, which is unusual but always fascinating for whisky maturation.

The aroma reveals notes of peach, pear, caramel, vanilla, and subtle nuts – the scents are fresh and fruity, yet accompanied by an oak base.

On the palate, the whisky is sweet, smooth, with caramel, vanilla and fruity accents like peach and dried fruit. As it progresses, a hint of spice (e.g., black pepper, clove) emerges from the Mizunara casks. The finish is medium-long, with echoes of oak, subtle spicy notes, and gentle sweetness.

We recommend serving it neat or with a few drops of water, in a Glencairn or tulip glass, at room temperature. Sipping slowly allows for the gradual release of the finer notes from the Mizunara casks.
