Jim Murray awarded her 95 points in the Whiskey Bible in 2010 and called her the Scottish Blend of the Year for 18 years and out of the category. Twenty-five year old Chivas Regal is a delicious blend with hints of peach and almond.
Aroma: Rich, nutty, strong with hints of malt and berries, sweet wood, raspberries and sweet oatmeal.
Taste: Soft and delicate, but formed with an elegant caramel character, very buttery. Hints of hard candy, anise and pudding.
Conclusion: Quick but earthy, at the end with the taste of butter candy.
