Chairmans Reserve Forgotten Casks - damaged packaging
Product with damaged cardboard packaging.
Chairman's Reserve Forgotten Casks is a rum edition that emerged against the backdrop of a major fire that engulfed the distillery on the island of St. Lucia in May 2007. The distillery lacked sufficient space, and the Master Distiller was forced to hide barrels of aging rum somewhere safe from the fire. Over time, these barrels were forgotten under these circumstances, and some were discovered only after several years. However, the rum inside had aged too much to create the original flagship of the Chairman's Reserve distillery. Thus, it was decided that the forgotten rum must live its own life. A completely new special edition of extra aged rums was created, aptly named Forgotten Casks, with a flavor reminiscent of that originally forgotten rum. Today, each batch matures separately in bourbon barrels, then is blended and left to rest for an additional 6 months in oak vats.
