Casco Viejo Reposado Tequila
Thomas Henry Grapefruit pairs perfectly with this product. Mix yourself one of the world’s most famous cocktails – the refreshing Paloma.
Casco Viejo Reposado Tequila ages for two months in American oak barrels with a capacity of 200 liters, ensuring ideal contact with the wood. The agave content is 100% Blue Weber. This tequila has a dark amber color. In its flavor, you can safely recognize blue agave, notes of wood, and fresh spices.
Tequilas Don Agustin are produced by the Mexican family company Tequila Supremo, which was founded under the original name “La Arandina” in Arandas in 1938 by Don Jose Augustin Camarena. The tequilas produced here come from Los Altos, where the fertile soil is rich in iron.
The Camarena family is among the four most significant agave growers in Mexico. The company owns over 1000 hectares of land, where it cultivates more than three million agaves. Casa Tequilera Casco Viejo uses traditional ovens made of clay, bricks, and wood for cooking agave. Here, it is cooked for 24 hours and then left to cool for another 24 hours. The fermentation process takes place in open tanks without additional heating.
This is the first distillery in Mexico with a zero carbon footprint, practicing sustainable agriculture and water restoration.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 38% with a volume of 0.7 l.
