Caffè Vergnano Espresso is a harmonious coffee medium roast blend that combines approximately 80 – 85% Arabica and 15 – 20% Robusta. This ratio creates a balanced coffee with a full body, a smooth creamy texture, and a medium caffeine content. The roasting is done in the traditional Italian way, ensuring a rich flavor without overwhelming bitterness and only a very mild acidity. The intensity of this coffee is rated at 7 out of 10, making it an ideal choice for everyday espresso.
The flavor profile is dominated by notes of chocolate, caramel, and subtle nuts, often complemented by hints of tobacco, cookies, and sometimes even fruity or spicy undertones. The coffee has a full body and creates a lasting and thick crema, typical of quality Italian espresso. Caffè Vergnano Espresso comes from the Caffè Vergnano roastery, the oldest family-owned roastery in Italy, founded in 1882 in Chieri near Turin. The coffee is still roasted in the town of Santena in the Piedmont region using the traditional slow roasting method, where each origin of coffee beans is roasted separately to achieve maximum flavor balance. The production and packaging are handled directly by the Vergnano family business, which maintains full control over quality while collaborating with selected distributors worldwide.
