This edition of Brugal Leyenda Seleccion Especial contains a special selection to celebrate the 5th anniversary of an exceptional liquid, made from the best vintages matured for 5 years. The rum was first aged in ex-bourbon American white oak barrels, followed by a second aging in ex-sherry Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez barrels.

A selection honouring the legacy of Andrés Brugal, the company's founder. King Alfonso XII of Spain honoured him for his great courage. Because of his passion for the art of rum making, he achieved the greatest honours of his time. Thus his legend was born.

Don Andrés Brugal Montaner left his native Spain to make his fortune in the Caribbean. After learning the craft of rum-making in Cuba, he went to the Dominican Republic, specifically Puerto Plata, in 1855. Brugal rums are still aged in this town today.

There, after a few years, he managed to develop a production process that ensures the consistent quality of the rum. This secret is now passed down from generation to generation.

You will be amazed by the honey and sherry aroma. The taste is heady, sweet and fruity, with hints of peaches and figs.

The bottles are filled at 38 % alcohol with a volume of 0,7 l. They are supplied in luxury gift cartons.
