Botran 15 Reserva Especial is a tasty Guatemalan rum aged 5 to 15 years. The entire production process is sustainable and takes place exclusively in Guatemala. It is made from the best virgin sugar honey (not molasses). This is followed by slow fermentation and fermentation using pineapple yeast.
The rum is matured using the Spanish Solera method in a combination of ex-American Whiskey, ex-American Whiskey Medium Toasted, ex-Oloroso Sherry Wine, ex-Tawny Port Wine barrels. Guatemalan rum in the Portuguese style.
Aroma: Dry spicy aroma with aromas of oak, tanned barrel, caramel cream and manuka honey gives way to caramelized apple and new spices.
Taste: Dried fruits including dates, dried mangoes and apricots are combined with almonds, oranges with cloves, molasses and pannacotta. Strong rum that will go well with Daiquiri!
Finish: Good long, with freshly ground cinnamon and molasses at the end.
