Blood Oath Pact No.11
Fill up your tasting glass and take your experience to the next level!
Blood Oath Pact No. 11 is the latest release in the Bourbon Whisky edition from Lux Row Distillers. This bourbon is a blend of three older bourbons (14-year-old rye bourbon, 10-year-old wheated bourbon, and 7-year-old rye bourbon that has also been aged in Añejo tequila barrels) and has an alcohol content of 49.3%.
It aims for an experiential tasting – each sip offers a combination of rare, aged bourbon with unexpected notes from the final aging phase.
In color, Blood Oath Pact No. 11 presents a rich honey-gold amber hue, indicating oak aging and sweet notes.
On the nose, it first reveals cherries with fresh citrus notes awakened by tequila tones. Further, you can sense subtle vanilla, black pepper, and oak wood – the aroma is complex yet still pleasantly accessible for those not accustomed to very heavy bourbons.
On the palate, this bourbon continues its contrast of sweet and spicy. Vanilla and warm spices (such as black pepper, perhaps a hint of nutmeg) come together with caramel and honey, followed by notes of dark chocolate, cherries, and delicate citrus peel. An interesting touch of agave/tequila is present – not dominating, but well integrated, adding uniqueness to the profile.
We recommend serving it best neat or with a few drops of water to release the more complex notes; in a suitable whisky glass (e.g., tulip or Glencairn) at room temperature. This bourbon is also suitable as a digestif, as well as a luxurious addition for special occasions.
