Angostura is one of the most important rum producers in the entire Caribbean region. The name 1787 recalls the year of construction of the first sugar factory in Trinidad on the famous Lapeyrouse sugar plantation. The year 1787 marks the beginning of the unstoppable development of rum production in Trinidad at the same time. Caribbean rum was known around the world as early as the end of the 18th century. It is a premium 15-year-old rum, supported by more than 130 years of experience in the field of rum production. It is a fascinating alcohol distilled from molasses.
Angostura has a mahogany shade with hints of bronze. Rum is beautifully balanced, with a sweet bouquet of bananas, dried fruit and oak, mixed with tones of apples. Its taste bears a hint of prunes and sweet rounded oak tones, which are intertwined with subtle caramel accents, with a long and sharp finish.
