Like a king! AH Riise XO Kong Haakon is a special edition of rum made to celebrate an ancient friendship between two unique men: King Haakon VII of Norway. and Valdemar Riis.
Riise owned AH Riise Rum and a pharmacy founded by his father Albert Heinrich Riise in 1838 on São Tomé and Príncipe in the Danish West Indies (now known as the US Virgin Islands). King Haakon VII of Norway. was originally known as Prince Carl of Denmark and in 1905 he was crowned King of Norway. His parents were King Frederick VIII. and Queen Louise of Denmark. It is said that he visited West India twice and that this rum was his favorite.
