Like a king! A.H. Riise XO Kong Haakon is a special edition rum made to celebrate the long-standing friendship between two unique men: Norwegian King Haakon VII and Valdemar Riis.
Riise owned A. H. Riise Rum and a pharmacy founded by his father Albert Heinrich Riise in 1838 on the island of Saint Thomas in the Danish West Indies (now known as the U.S. Virgin Islands). Norwegian King Haakon VII was originally known as Prince Carl of Denmark and was crowned King of Norway in 1905. His parents were King Frederick VIII and Queen Louise of Denmark. It is said that he visited the West Indies twice, and this rum was his favorite.
