Veuve Clicquot Vintage Millésimé 2015 is a vintage champagne created only in years that meet the strict quality criteria of the Veuve Clicquot house. The 2015 vintage was characterized by warm and sunny weather, which produced grapes with excellent ripeness, concentration, and pronounced aromatics.
The blend is primarily based on 50% Pinot Noir, which gives the wine its typical strength, structure, and depth, complemented by 30% Chardonnay for elegance, freshness, and finesse, and 20% Meunier. The wine aged for several years on the lees in the cellars of Veuve Clicquot, gaining complexity, fine bubbles, and a harmonious character.
The aroma is dominated by citrus notes of orange, grapefruit, and lemon zest, intertwined with aromas of cookies, brioche, and orange marmalade. There are also hints of dried apricots, dates, roasted almonds, hazelnuts, and honey. The taste is fresh, full of energy, with an intense and long finish.
The result is a champagne with a rich body, beautiful balance between fruitiness, mineral freshness, and delicate toasty notes. The 2015 vintage is ideal for festive occasions, gastronomic pairing, and aging.
