Italian Vermouth Carpano Antica Formula with its unmistakable taste and an ever-growing number of international fans is ideal for crafting exclusive cocktails.
Carpano Antica Formula stands out from all other vermouths thanks to its unique bouquet and distinctive vanilla notes.
It was first invented by Antonio Benedetto Carpano in 1786 in Turin and has been preserved in its original, inimitable recipe thanks to the love and skill of Fratelli Branca Distillerie, which has managed to maintain the original properties and characteristics of the product.
The main ingredient is white wine from selected Italian grape varieties from the regions of Romagna, Apulia, and Sicily, processed within 24 hours of receipt to prevent oxidation. These wines have a medium alcohol content, which, combined with special production methods, enhances the flavor of the spices, herbs, and roots that make up the secret recipe.
The amount of aromatic plants included in the Antica Formula recipe is obtained through hot infusion or cold extraction methods, passed down through the centuries, depending on the raw material. These methods, along with the recipe itself, form the secret of this product. The process is extremely precise and time-consuming (some plant components require months of processing).
After combining various plants and herbs, they undergo a several-month refinement phase. This is to ensure they can properly blend and release all their fragrance and aromatic intensity.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 16.5% with a volume of 1 l.
