Teremana Añejo Tequila
Teremana Añejo Small Batch is a tequila that wins the hearts of quality spirit lovers with its exceptional flavor and precise handcrafted production. It comes from a traditional manufacturing process that uses 100% blue Weber agave from the Jalisco region of Mexico.
Teremana translates to spirit of the earth. From the care of the land from which the distillery workers harvest the agave, to the meticulous tequila-making process, to the people they work with and spend time with. Teremana means caring for what and who we love.
The tequila is made in a small Mexican town amidst the highest peaks of the Jalisco highlands, and every step of the tequila-making process is carefully executed to create a delicious tequila that truly honors the land from which it comes. The brand utilizes local businesses and practices, allowing them to create sustainable ultra-premium tequila.
They use 100% brick oven roasting to allow Teremana to highlight the bright citrus flavor of Mexican highland agave. This traditional process takes time. Before being crushed, the agave is roasted for 3 days to extract the juice for fermentation. The remaining agave fibers are used for organic compost for agave fields.
After the fermentation process in open tanks, Teremana is distilled using handcrafted copper pot stills. These stills were made by a local craftsman right on the distillery premises. The character of the handcrafted copper distillation pots not only harks back to the times of traditional tequila-making processes but also produces a cleaner and smoother tequila.
Teremana Añejo Tequila is aged for a minimum of 12 months in American whiskey barrels. This process imparts rich notes of caramel, vanilla, and oak, which are typical for añejo tequilas, while still preserving the characteristic flavor of agave. The long aging ensures complexity and depth of flavor, making this tequila exceptional in its category.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 40% with a volume of 0.7 l.
