Smokehead Rum Cask Rebel is a Scottish single malt whisky from the island of Islay that combines the smoky character of the north with the tropical sweetness of the Caribbean. This bold experiment from Ian Macleod Distillers was matured in Caribbean rum casks, creating a unique contrast of flavours — peat, smoke and fire balanced by hints of citrus and exotic fruit.

On the nose, there’s the typical smoky punch of an Islay whisky immediately softened by the sweetness of rum casks. The palate reveals notes of Caribbean fruit, citrus, toasted marshmallow, bacon and dried fruit. The finish is long, warm and woody, with touches of caramel and molasses.
