Reyka
Excellent vodka Reyka from the cold Iceland. The water used in production comes from a glacial spring that flows through a 4,000-year-old lava field. It is one of the purest waters in the world. And pure water makes good vodka.
This Icelandic vodka is distilled in one of the few Carter-Head stills in the world and always only in small batches. Its high copper content gives Reyka a unique smoothness even with a single distillation. Lava stones are used for filtration. They provide a fresh and clean taste.
During the distillation of this vodka, geothermal energy from underground volcanoes is used. It is environmentally friendly.
The brand's history is closely tied to the nature of Iceland and the craft tradition of William Grant & Sons, known for brands like Glenfiddich and Hendrick's Gin. The goal of the project was to capture the purity and unique terroir of the Icelandic environment – arctic water, lava, and geothermal energy. Reyka is among the first “green” domestic vodkas powered by geothermal energy, with minimal impact on the environment.
The aroma of Reyka Vodka is delicate and fresh – citrus notes (especially lemon peel), rose flower, grass, or freshly cut hay, with hints of minerality. On the palate, it is silky, slightly sweet, with elements of black and white pepper, herbal nuances, toffee, vanilla. The finish is medium-long, with refreshing mineral purity, earthiness, citrus aftertaste, and hints of anise or grassy character.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 40% with a volume of 0.7 l.
