Paranubes is an authentic Mexican rum that represents the pure essence of raw material and captures not only the flavor but also the spirit of the place from which it originates. This unique rum is produced in the traditional way in the Sierra Mazateca region of Oaxaca, Mexico, where sugarcane is grown on the farm of master distiller Jose Luis Carreru without the use of pesticides and fertilizers. Freshly pressed cane juice is wild fermented in wooden vats and then distilled to its final strength without the addition of any additives. This process is unique in that fermentation never stops, allowing for continuous production and preservation of authentic flavor. Paranubes rum, also known as aguardiente de caña, faithfully reflects the taste and atmosphere of the tropical environment of the misty mountains of Oaxaca.

Paranubes originates in an area where the cultivation of sugarcane, fruits, and coffee has been passed down for generations. Jose Luis, whose family has been producing aguardiente for three generations, grows various varieties of sugarcane on his 14 hectares, including Caña Criolla.

Jose Luis distills the rum in a copper column powered by fire from waste cane fiber, without any temperature sensors or controls. Paranubes rum is distilled to a final strength of 54% ABV, which is the point where perfect balance between flavor and texture is achieved. This artisanal approach and attention to every detail ensure that Paranubes is not only exceptionally rich in flavor but also true to its origins, offering an authentic experience of real Mexican rum.
