In creating Metaxa Angels Treasure, Constantinos Raptis, the Metaxa Master, was inspired by an extraordinary phenomenon that occurs in the cellars of Metaxa in Attica. This man with exceptional talent has been behind everything that has left the Metaxa cellars for nearly three decades. He knows all the stories about angels from the tales of the masters who came before him. The legends of this unique phenomenon captivated him so much that he longed to capture them and transform them into something real.
Before the Metaxa Master was ready to reveal the secret of Metaxa Angels Treasure, he invited his friend for inspiring artistic meetings. The man who complemented his talent so wonderfully is fragrance expert Pierre Aulas, known for creating exquisite scents for the most prestigious luxury brands in the world. Constantinos combined his masterful know-how with the exceptional accuracy of Pierre's finely trained nose to jointly name this exciting secret of the cellars with the help of their senses.
Aging: Up to fifty years, from selected old blends.
Appearance: Dark amber color with copper highlights.
Bouquet: Very intense aroma with a deeply sweet scent. Bitter orange peel and dried fruits such as prunes and apricots. Sweet spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves. Chocolate, oak, caramel. Bourbon vanilla, plum jam, and straw flowers.
Taste: Velvety, silky, warm, and complex. Citrus fruits, especially bitter orange, a mix of various peppers, dark chocolate, tobacco, and fine oak.
Finish: Intense, complex with a long aftertaste and an almost tangible presence of bitter orange and sweet spices.
