Macleod's Islay Single Malt Whisky
The Macleod’s Regional Malts collection is the perfect introduction to the world of Scottish single malt whisky. It features a selection of single malt Scotch whiskies that are, according to Macleod's, the most representative of their respective regions.
Islay is the most famous of the Scottish islands for whisky production. Distillers on this small island in the West produce some of the strongest phenolic malts. Islay whisky is easily identifiable due to its distinctive flavor. Macleod’s Islay is no exception. This Scottish single malt whisky has matured in oak casks for eight years. It is robust, sea-flavored, and intensely peaty. The taste is immense with notes of sherry, peat, smoke, and sea salt. It is not for the faint-hearted.
