Description
Luxardo Maraschino is a very popular liqueur made according to a special cherry recipe created by Girolamo Luxardo in 1821. Cherries are harvested at the beginning of each summer on the first warm day. They are then aged for three years in spruce barrels together with leaves and branches.
It then undergoes distillation in traditional Copper Pot Stills. The last process consists in converting the distillate into a liqueur by adding syrup from water and sugar, thus reducing the alcohol content to 25 %.
