Jim Beam Double Oak Twice Barreled + 2 glasses
Jim Beam Double Oak Twice Barreled begins its life as Jim Beam White. After selecting and emptying 4-year-old barrels, they take the bourbon and put it back into charred virgin oak barrels, where it ages a second time.
The second round of aging has no defined time or quantity requirement. It lasts until it tastes just right. I'm not joking, on the second release of Jim Beam Double Oak it states: “...and ages a second time to taste.”
Spending longer in oak barrels makes it deeper, more complex, and gives it a stronger oak foundation, bringing it closer to some of their smaller releases. I only wish they produced it with 43% alcohol content and did not chill filter it, to give it a bit more character.
The package includes Jim Beam Double Oak Twice Barreled and 2 whiskey glasses.
