Hampden LROK "Light Rum Owen Kelly" is produced by methods that have not changed since the 18th century. It matures tropical for 8 years and is a distillate with a strong taste profile, which is mainly due to the high level of esters. As with all editions of Habitation Velier, this is pure Jamaican uncut rum from a traditional distillate that provides a complete, true and intensely tasty look at what one of the best rum distilleries in the world can do.
The LROK brand specifically refers to rums with an ester content between 350 - 450 g / hlpa. It should be noted that this is a light rum only to Hampden standards, otherwise the number of esters is well above almost all other rums on the market. It was distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2018. It matured for 8 years in a tropical climate at Hampden Estate.
