The 21 year old Glendronach whiskey matures in a combination of sherry barrels (Oloroso and sweet Pedro Ximénez sherry). The result is a really good whiskey.
Interestingly, this whiskey has no political ties, as one might think from the name. "Parliament" in the title is the term for naming ravens living in the treetops near GlenDronach.
Aroma: soft smoky with tones of lemon juice, cedar wood, apple peel, toast, soil and a hint of freshly made espresso.
Taste: golden syrup, soft juicy raisins are perfectly mixed with bitter oak notes, peach, cherry blossom, cocoa and pineapple melon.
Conclusion: sherry tones with hints of sulfur, chocolate, juicy fruit and spices
