Foursquare Epilogue

Foursquare Epilogue is an exceptional single blended rum from Barbados, which concludes the legendary Exceptional Cask Selection series from Foursquare Rum Distillery. As Mark XXXI, it represents the final release of this award-winning series that has significantly contributed to the reputation of authentic, long-aged rums and set a high standard for the entire category.

The rum is created as a blend of distillates from copper double retort pot stills and traditional continuous column stills. This style combines the aromatic depth of pot still distillation with the purity and elegance of column distillation. The result is a rum with a rich structure, complexity, and balanced expression.

Epilogue has aged for at least 19 years in ex-bourbon barrels made from American white oak. Despite its high age, it does not come across as heavy or overly oaky – on the contrary, it offers a surprisingly smooth, fruity, and elegant character. Its profile features notes of dried pineapple, raisins, orange peel, ripe cherries, marzipan, dark chocolate, caramel, and buttery toffee.

The rum is bottled at a higher proof, without chill filtration, in its natural color and without added sweeteners or other additives. This allows it to maintain its authentic expression, natural texture, and full flavor. Foursquare Epilogue is meant to be slowly savored neat, ideally in a tasting glass, where its layered fruitiness, honeyed sweetness, and long, oily finish can gradually unfold.
