Exquisito 1985 is a representative of classic Dominican rum craftsmanship, where maturity, smoothness, and sweet complexity typical of the local style come together. This vintage rum was created from distillates that began their journey in 1985 and subsequently aged for many years in a combination of American oak bourbon barrels and other selected casks, which imparted a distinctive aromatic depth.
Long aging enriches this dark rum with richly layered notes of caramel, dried fruit, spices, and toasted wood. Exquisito 1985 is a typical representative of “añejo extra” rums – smooth, mature, and perfectly rounded.
The aroma is dominated by sweet caramel, raisins, toasted oak, candied fruit, and a delicate touch of almonds.
On the palate, the rum is smooth, elegant, and harmonious – caramel cream, honey, dark chocolate, dried plums, vanilla, and subtle spices. Gradually, notes of tobacco, toasted oak, and a hint of nuts emerge.
The finish is long, sweet, velvety smooth, with notes of raisins, caramel, and light spices.
