Description

Dom Pérignon is a brand focused exclusively on the production of vintage champagne. Each represents a unique and singular creation expressing not only the character of the vintage, but also the character of the Dom Pérignon brand itself.

Dom Pérignon Vintage 2013 is a Champagne that, after 8 years of maturation in the cellars, reveals the perfect balance and richness hidden in harmony.

The birthplace of Dom Pérignon is the former Benedictine Abbey of Hautvillers and is located in the heart of Champagne on a hillside overlooking the Marne Valley.

Dom Pérignon is the only Champagne brand that offers only vintage wines and is produced only in exceptional years from two grape varieties - Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. These come only from the best vintages and exclusively from the 17 vineyards with Grand Cru appellation and are aged for at least 8 years.

A wine of a beautiful golden colour with a radiant glow. Its aroma first reveals subtle vegetal aromas of eucalyptus and mint. Fruity aromas of mirabelles, apricots and orange blossom follow. Finally, spicy aromas of cardamom, liquorice and toast develop.

What is it - Black Tot Day?
Black Tot Day: The demise of a centuries-old seafaring rum tradition Regardless of the weather, the height of summer brings one gloomy day full of reflection for some older members of the Royal Navy community. That day is July 31, known as "Black Tot Day." It was on this day in 1970 that the centuries-old tradition of issuing rum to sailors on British warships came to an end. On ships…
