The birthplace of Dom Pérignon is the former Benedictine abbey Hautvillers, located in the heart of Champagne on a slope overlooking the Marne valley.
Dom Pérignon is the only champagne brand that offers only vintage wines, produced only in exceptional years from two grape varieties - Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. These come exclusively from the finest harvests and solely from 17 vineyards classified as Grand Cru and age for at least 8 years.
The wine has a beautiful golden color with a radiant shimmer. Its aroma initially reveals delicate herbaceous notes of eucalyptus and mint. This is followed by fruity aromas of mirabelles, apricots, and orange blossoms. Finally, spicy notes of cardamom, sweet licorice, and toast unfold.
