Crossfire Hurricane Gold is a 100% Jamaican rum created in collaboration with the legendary band The Rolling Stones and renowned rum expert Ian Burrell. The brand builds on more than 50 years of the band's connection to Jamaica, its music, and culture. The name comes from the opening line of the song Jumpin’ Jack Flash.
The blend combines rums from four prominent Jamaican distilleries – Hampden Estate, Long Pond, Worthy Park, and Clarendon. The combination of different fermentation styles and distillates from pot still and column still equipment brings a pronounced fruitiness, spiciness, and typical Jamaican character.
The base consists of a fresh pot still rum full of tropical fruit, complemented by a smoother column still rum aged in young oak barrels. The finish of the blend is enhanced by a small amount of rarer aged rum with a high ester content, which adds a subtle Jamaican “funk” and aromatic depth.
The aroma features fresh orange peel, vanilla, nutmeg, and warming spices. The taste is lively and fruity with notes of pineapple, banana, sweet candies, and creamy spices. The rum contains no added sugar, and its sweet impression comes naturally from fermentation and the character of the distillates.
Crossfire Hurricane Gold is crafted as a versatile rum suitable for mixed drinks, yet smooth enough for sipping on its own. It pairs excellently with ginger beer, ginger lemonade, or classic Caribbean cocktails.
