Chateau Modra Dunaj 2021

Dry red wine Dunaj, vintage 2021 from the Slovak winery Chateau Modra with the designation selection of grapes. It comes from the Southern Slovak Wine Region.

The Dunaj variety belongs to the category of Slovak new breeds. The variety was bred in Slovakia in 1958 by crossing the varieties Muscat Bouchet x Oporto x Saint Laurent.

Dunaj is a very high-quality variety, created by the first female wine breeder, Ing. Dorota Pospíšilová, CSc along with a team of breeders from the Research Institute of Viticulture in Bratislava.

We recommend serving at a temperature of 15 to 17 °C. It pairs well with robust dishes of beef, whole roasted beef, and game, as well as meats grilled over an open flame. It also complements heavier natural sauces and spicy preparations very well.
