Carolans
Carolans Irish Cream is a traditional Irish cream liqueur produced in the town of Clonmel in Ireland. This area lies within the Golden Vale region, which is well known for producing high-quality cream and for its rich agricultural tradition.
The name Clonmel comes from the Gaelic phrase “Cluain Meala,” meaning “honey valley.” Local honey is one of the key ingredients that gives Carolans its gentle sweetness and distinctive flavour profile.
Carolans Irish Cream is made by blending Irish whiskey, fresh cream, and natural honey, resulting in a smooth and creamy liqueur with a rich aroma. One advantage of producing the liqueur in the Clonmel region is that the ingredients come from nearby sources, meaning none of them have to travel far, helping preserve their freshness and quality.
On the nose, there are delicate notes of cream, caramel, honey, and chocolate. The palate is creamy, sweet, and smooth, with flavours of caramel, cocoa, vanilla, and a subtle hint of Irish whiskey.
Irish whiskey, fresh cream (33%) , caramel, honey (0.42%), colorants: E160b, E160c.
