Set Buffalo Trace + Rebel Yell
Rebel Yell Kentucky Straight is a cult bourbon whiskey made from corn, grains, and barley.
In 1849, when everyone else was using a rye mashbill, Rebel Yell produced wheat-based bourbon. And it is this award-winning diverse recipe that defies trends today.
Rebel Yell is original and unapologetically bold. It is produced at Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown. The original recipe from William LaRue Weller is used. The whiskey is reportedly named after a war cry, not based on a song by the former frontman of Generation X.
Rebel Yell has received prestigious awards, including a double gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2016 and a platinum medal at the SIP Awards in 2018. Its unique wheat recipe and rich history make it an exceptional bourbon for connoisseurs and newcomers alike.
The aromatic profile of the whiskey is full of hints of honey, vanilla, raisins, and woody notes. The flavor profile is a delicious combination of raisins and nectarines, along with hints of plums.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 40% with a volume of 0.7 l.
The new edition of the classic Kentucky bourbon Buffalo Trace is best enjoyed neat. It is an amazing whiskey with plenty of vanilla, notes of charred oak, and spicy complexity.
For over 200 years, Buffalo Trace Distillery has been dedicated to a single craft: producing quality bourbon whiskey. By honoring traditions and embracing change, the distillery has earned a leading position among the legendary spirits producers in the world. Their flagship product is this bourbon, which has rightfully won over 100 awards.
Buffalo Trace uses a specific combination of grains known as "mash bill" for its grain blend. This includes corn, barley, rye, and sometimes wheat. The exact grain ratio is a closely guarded secret of the company and contributes to its distinctive flavor.
The distilled whiskey is then poured into new American oak barrels, which are charred on the inside to impart the characteristic woody notes. Buffalo Trace uses high-quality barrels with varying degrees of toasting, contributing to a rich palette of flavors.
