Curiositas is a 10-year-old peat whisky from the BenRiach distillery made in the so-called "classic Speyside style." A pronounced malt with great depth and a sweet-bitter balance.
Aroma: nobly medicinal, sweet grassy asphalt, and heather. Hints of malmsey
Taste: immediately sweet and heavily smoky. Spicy bite, iodine, and warm nuts
Finish: bitter-sweet, dry wood, creosote, and phenol, and actually also fennel
