Balan Merlot Veneto 2021

Balan Merlot Veneto is a red, dry, Italian wine. It comes from vineyards in the area of S. Ambrogio di Trebaseleghe, vineyards around the Balan company, in a region that has always been known as "Grion". Clay soils with large layers, exceptionally compact and clayey. The wine is from the vintage 2021. The grape variety is 100% Merlot.

It consists of two different clones of the Merlot variety vinified together. Fermentation in cement tanks. Aging for 6 months in barrel (one-third of the barrel is new, the rest have been used two or three times before). Three months of aging in the bottle. It is recommended to continue this refinement.

We recommend serving with roasted red meat, game, pasta with meat sauce, and aged cheese.
