Bacoo Rum rests for 11 years in the warm climate of the Dominican Republic. Column distilled from fresh molasses, it then ages in ex-bourbon barrels. The name comes from the Caribbean legend of Bacoo, which is similar to a genie in a bottle. However, what you will find here is only good rum.
The Bacoo brand produces rums in the Dominican Republic, where quality, consistency, and character ensure a well-made rum. Most major rum brands import sugarcane juice and molasses from other parts of the world for production, but Bacoo is grown and produced on the beautiful island in the Dominican Republic, where all parts of the production take place – from growing sugarcane to harvesting and processing to distillation, aging, and bottling.
Thanks to the aging process, their rums provide exceptional consistency and quality. Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 40% and a volume of 0.7 l.
