Bacardi Reserva Ocho 8-Year-Old is a premium rum from this brand. It ages 8 years in older small oak barrels. The result is one of the smoothest rums in the world.
Bacardi Reserva Ocho is wonderfully aromatic, with a rich and complex flavor. It is a unique rum for connoisseurs with a mature palate, who enjoy sipping rum slowly. Ideal with a fine cigar.
Rum Reserva Ocho is inspired by a family recipe from 1862, also known as The Family Reserve. It is a complex golden rum with deep, layered, and smooth flavors of dried fruit, spices, and oak vanilla.
The Bacardi company was founded in the aforementioned year 1862 as a family business in Santiago de Cuba, the second largest city in Cuba. Its founder, Facundo Bacardí Massó, developed a unique method of rum production that became the foundation for popular cocktails such as Cuba Libre and Daiquiri.
Bacardi moved to Bermuda and Puerto Rico, where it continued the tradition of producing quality rum and other alcoholic beverages. Today, the company is led by the eighth generation of the Bacardi family and is one of the largest family-owned alcohol producers in the world.
