Bacardi Carta Negra is a super-premium dark Cuban rum, originally known as Bacardi Black. This blended rum is made from sugarcane and cane molasses. What makes it exceptional is its production process, which combines various distillation techniques, fermentation, and blending. It ages in heavily charred oak barrels, giving it an intense character. A significant innovation in its production is the charcoal filtration, which perfectly removes impurities created during distillation.
Rum Bacardi Carta Negra is great enjoyed neat with ice or in mixed drink and cocktail recipes like Cuba Libre or Mai Tai.
And an interesting fact to finish: the logo of Bacardi features a black bat, which is said to have lived in the distillery's attic. According to legend, it brings luck, health, and family unity.
