Ron Abuelo XII Two Oaks is a dark 12-year-old rum from Panama. Its interesting flavor profile is due to double aging, first in American bourbon casks and later in very heavily charred white oak barrels. As a result, one aging imparts the flavor profile while the other adds extra smoothness and softness. The rum has a deep amber color and a complex, intense taste. Sweet, oaky, and slightly smoky notes are accompanied by vanilla, caramel, and the flavor of roasted almonds and coffee.
