A.H. Riise Royal Danish Navy - damaged box
Product with slightly damaged cardboard packaging.
Naval-inspired rum A.H. Riise Royal Danish Navy Rum with an exceptionally rich spectrum of aromas and flavors is designed for seasoned rum lovers. This molasses rum is produced using traditional methods and slow fermentation according to the original recipe of the brand's founder, Albert Heinrich Riise, and his famous naval rum “Royal Navy.”
Naval rum was supplied to the Danish fleet whenever it docked in Charlotte Amalie, the center of the former Danish colony in the Caribbean. In his time, all sailors serving on Danish merchant or military ships were prescribed a regular daily ration of rum. The rum was distributed by the shipmaster, who ensured that sailors did not die of thirst during the voyage and that the crew adhered to the “drinking rum regimen” and did not postpone it for later. Water on board became undrinkable after a few days, while the rum continued to gain better and better flavor.
A.H. Riise Royal Danish Navy is a series of naval rums created to commemorate the significant historical role and long-standing tradition of the naval fleet of the Danish kingdom.
