The Bitter Truth Bogart's
About Bogart's Bitters, we can say that they started the cocktail movement, as it was the very first bitter mentioned in the first cocktail book in 1862, written by the most famous bartender of the time, Jerry Thomas. However, no bottles from that period have ever appeared. After a long search, they discovered that Bogart's was actually a misspelling of Boker's Bitter. Such a name Bogart's/Boker's was even found in a book from 1888, in a recipe for Martini.
Eventually, The Bitter Truth managed to find a bottle of this bitter, and after tasting it, they were convinced they had to try to recreate it. After 10 years, they finally succeeded and present us with a beautiful blend of dark spices, chocolate and rare herbs, just as it was used back in the day. The bitter is bottled in brown "lady leg" shaped bottles, just like the original product.
The bitter comes in a gift box, which includes recipes for various cocktails.
