That Boutique-y Whisky Company Bowmore 18 Year Old
The independent company That Boutique-y Whiskey Company is already coming with the 20th edition of Bowmore whiskey! Batch 20 is another incredible Single Mortar that has matured for 18 years .
The popular Bowmore distillery has been located on the island of Islay since 1779. It is the oldest whiskey distillery on the island and still operates today! The Bowmore distillery is home to its own malting floor, an eight-ton stainless steel malt boiler, six fermentation vats (wash back) and two pairs of distillation boilers, which produce enough heat not only to produce their beautiful whiskey, but also the waste heat that heats the nearby pool!
In Batch 20, only 218 bottles were bottled.
Aroma: fragrant barley with a touch of sea, jam and yellow plum
Taste: gingerbread, salty sea air, oatmeal cake, roasted barley
Conclusion: grilled fruit, cloves, salty smoke
