Taste Illy II 3 x 250g
Illy Brazil is one of the variants of the Arabica Selection series, which features exclusively single-origin 100% Arabica. The coffee comes from the Cerrado Mineiro region in Brazil, known for its ideal climate for the slow ripening of coffee trees – hot days, cooler nights, and nutrient-rich soils give the bean excellent sweetness and intensity.
The beans are imported to Trieste, Italy, where they are roasted and packaged in the same precise manner as other Illy products – in original pressure-sealed cans, which guarantee freshness and consistent quality for up to two years from the roasting date.
Illy Brazil offers a full, velvety body with pronounced notes of bitter chocolate and caramel, sometimes with a hint of freshly baked bread. The taste is slightly sweet, but without pronounced bitterness or acidity, with low acidity and a slightly lower caffeine content, making it a comfortable choice for multiple cups a day.
This variant is designed primarily for preparing espresso and americano, but it also works great in automatic coffee machines or through a moka pot or filter. It is praised for its consistency – stable flavor and performance even with regular home grinding and various grinder settings. The hermetic packaging preserves the aroma until the day it is opened; once opened, it is recommended to store the beans in a well-sealed container away from heat and moisture.
The package size is 250 g.
Whole Bean Coffee Illy Ethiopia is part of the exclusive Arabica Selection range, which highlights the character of its origin – in this case, from Ethiopia, regarded as the source of world coffee.
The beans come from the Sidamo and Yirgacheffe regions, often hand-picked in forested areas where coffee trees grow in wild vegetation, connecting with the natural coffee flora.
Roasting and packaging take place in Trieste, Italy, in a pressure-sealed bag infused with inert gas, ensuring up to two years of freshness and aroma protection.
The aroma of this 100% Arabica is delicate, floral — with subtle notes of jasmine, orange blossom, and chamomile, complemented by citrus nuances.
The taste is elegant and mildly acidic, with low bitterness and lower caffeine content (less than 1.5%), making this coffee easy to drink throughout the day. The experience is enhanced by gentle notes of dried fruit, honey, and soft caramel, which together create a harmoniously balanced coffee.
Illy Ethiopia is designed as a versatile choice: ideal for espresso, but also pairs excellently with moka pots, filters, or automatic coffee machines. Once opened, it is recommended to store the beans in a dry, cool place away from direct light – ideally in a well-sealed container to prevent rapid loss of aroma.
Illy India belongs to the exclusive range Arabica Selection, which focuses on single-origin 100% Arabica sourced from India, specifically from the Karnataka region - known for coffee grown in shade. Illy selects only the highest quality beans: reportedly only 1% of the best Arabica beans.
Individual origins are roasted separately, with precisely set temperature and time, to best highlight the typical aromatic tones and flavors of India. After processing, the coffees are packaged in Trieste, Italy, in pressure cans filled with inert gas – allowing them to maintain freshness for up to 24 months.
Illy India stands out with a pronounced, full body with intense notes of black pepper and extra dark chocolate, which underscore the character of the spice country. Additionally, subtle hints of vanilla, cardamom, and citrus fruits appear in the aroma, providing a complex and spicy flavor profile. Acidity is low and very well balanced, allowing for a fuller and robust enjoyment of each cup.
Illy India is primarily developed for espresso, but also works great in moka pots or filtered preparations, where the darker roast well develops the flavor potential. Users often appreciate its consistency – stable taste and aroma even with repeated use, as long as the coffee is stored in a dry, cool place away from light.
