Stroh 80

Stroh Original 80 is an iconic Austrian rum liqueur (known as Inländer Rum), produced according to a traditional recipe since 1832. This strong aromatic distillate is an integral part of Austrian culture - especially in the mountains and at Christmas markets.

Unlike classic Caribbean rums, Stroh is made from molasses and sugar syrup, to which natural extracts, spices, fruit essences, and caramel are added. This creates its characteristic flavor depth with a distinctly sweet, spicy, and rum-vanilla profile.

The aroma is dominated by vanilla, caramel, honey, clove, nutmeg, and brown sugar. The taste is rich, intense, with notes of molasses, caramel, gingerbread, dried fruit, and spices. The finish is long, warming, and sweet, with a subtle smoky undertone.

Stroh 80 is typically not consumed straight, but is used as part of mixed drinks, punches, grogs, Christmas liqueurs, or desserts. It adds a distinct flavor and aroma to confections and flambéed dishes as well.
