Spiced Liqueurs The Bitter Truth Page 1 of 1

Spiced Liqueurs bring depth, warmth, and the aroma of exotic lands to the world of alcoholic beverages. They are created by combining fine alcohol with various spices – from cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg to vanilla, ginger, and cardamom. The result is a liqueur that caresses the taste buds and leaves a pleasantly warming impression.

How Spiced Liqueurs Are Made

The base of spiced liqueurs is usually high-quality spirit, into which spices, herbs, and citrus peels are macerated or distilled. After infusion, the mixture is refined with sugar, honey, or caramel, giving it a smoother character. Each producer carefully monitors the ratio of ingredients. Even a small amount of spice can dramatically change the final flavor.

How to Enjoy Them

Spiced liqueurs are best enjoyed neat, slightly chilled, or with a cube of ice. Due to their aromatic nature, they also make a great base for winter drinks, punches, or hot cocktails. The combination of spices and alcohol beautifully warms and scents every moment.
