Ron Kong Rainforest 12 Year Gran Reserva
Ron Kong Rainforest 12 Year Gran Reserva is an exceptional rum that embodies the mastery of distillation and a deep respect for nature. This premium rum, carefully aged for 12 years, offers a smooth texture and a complex flavor profile, ideal for connoisseurs seeking sophistication.
This rum comes from Panama, where it is made from the finest local rums. After distillation from molasses using a continuous still, it ages in ex-bourbon barrels made of American white oak. Following the twelve-year aging phase, it undergoes a three-month refinement in port wine barrels.
The bottle in which this rum is presented is a work of art in itself. Handcrafted from a blend of minerals, its shape resembles the head of an adult gorilla, paying tribute to the majestic creatures of the rainforest. To the touch, it evokes volcanic rock, referencing the home of the last mountain gorillas in the world.
Ron Kong is produced in limited quantities – the number of bottles in each batch corresponds to the number of remaining mountain gorillas in the world, which is approximately 4,804. By purchasing this rum, you contribute to their conservation, as the producer collaborates with organizations dedicated to gorilla protection and a portion of the proceeds goes towards these efforts.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 40% with a volume of 0.7 l and are delivered in a gift box.
